Sulzer and European universities launch partnership

Sulzer GmbH is launching a future-oriented educational initiative in partnership with leading European universities. This collaboration offers students unique educational and career opportunities.
Sulzer GmbH is launching a partnership with the Technical University of Sofia, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and Achala Sulzer Limited. This initiative combines academic education with practical industrial experience. At its core is the FDIBA-FIN double degree program, offered by the Faculty of German Engineering and Business Administration Education (FDIBA) at Sofia University of Technology in Bulgaria and the Faculty of Computer Science (FIN) at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.

The program enables students to obtain a double degree in computer science or business informatics. Students who wish to participate can receive financial support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the EU’s Erasmus mobility program. Participants can expect monthly grants, a mobility allowance and participation in joint research projects.

The cooperation with Sulzer GmbH and Achala Sulzer offers students career opportunities in Germany and Bulgaria, internships and work opportunities in both countries, access to current technologies and working methods as well as the opportunity to participate in research projects. The cultural exchange and the development of a network are additional advantages.

The aim of the partnership is to attract new specialists. Students are offered internships and, if they are suitably qualified, subsequent employment opportunities. Sulzer offers support through a mentoring program, networking opportunities, internal training and permanent contacts.
